Hi.  Welcome to my blog.

My husband, Wayne, is an internet marketer and he set this up for me to share some of the information I’m learning.

I’ve been a massage therapist for nearly eight years now and I love what I do.  I’m an independent contractor so I’m my own boss.  I work when and where I want.  My first job in massage therapy was with a chiropractor.  Those were some long days of 13 minute spot treatments.  Since then I’ve been working at day spas and building my own in-home client base (I take my table to my clients’ homes).  It’s been great.  Most of the people I see are friendly and have an interest in taking care of themselves.  I enjoy what I do so much that it seems wrong to call it “work”.

Wayne and I have a six year-old daughter and a four year old son.  They’re fun but can be pretty demanding of our time.  I’ve pretty much just worked when Wayne is able to be home with the kids but come this fall, they will both be in school five days a week and I’ll have a little more time on my hands.  Whatever will I do with myself?  I didn’t have to think about that one too long.  I love being a student and I knew I was ready to learn something new.

With both Wayne and I both being in the wellness business, it was a natural step to look toward nutrition to complement what we already do.  As I began researching nutritional consulting programs, I came across one that offered not only a nutrition program but also a master herbalist program.  It was just what I needed.  I’m currently working my way through the Nutritional Consultant course and will start the Master Herbalist course in the fall.  Once I complete those two programs I will begin the coursework for Holistic Health Practitioner.  It’s so exciting!

Anyway, this blog gives me an outlet to share topics that I find interesting.  It’s good for me because I get a deeper subject knowledge by writing and I hope you’ll find something useful when you visit.

Thanks for stopping by.  –Michelle
